This is a friendly reminder that the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department – Temecula Station invites residents to participate in the upcoming National Prescription Take Back Event:

This event offers a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications.

The Sheriff’s Department shared that their last event in October was a great success, and they are looking forward to another strong turnout from the community.

Santa’s Arrival
Friday, November 28th

Pennypickle’s Workshop
Make your way to Santa’s cozy cottage as we welcome Mr. Claus to Old Town for the holiday season. After his arrival, you can visit Santa on the weekend from Saturday, November 29th through Saturday, December 20th.
Santa Visiting Hours
Saturdays: 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Sundays: 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Christmas Tree Lighting
Monday, December 1st

Temecula Duck Pond
Are you ready to rock around the Christmas tree? Join us for the annual tree lighting ceremony as we celebrate the magic of the season with festive music, tasty treats, and a visit from Santa Claus.

Santa’s Electric Light Parade
Friday, December 5th
Start time: 7:00 p.m. 
Old Town Temecula
Join us in making spirits bright at the annual Santa’s Electric Light Parade! The parade will begin at 7:00 p.m. sharp at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Del Rio Road. Bring your blankets and chairs as you watch the entries travel south along the parade route into Old Town Temecula.

New Year’s Eve Grape Drop
Wednesday, December 31st
6:00 - 10:00 p.m.
Civic Center Quad
Ring in the new year Temecula style with the signature Grape Drop! Celebrate 2026 with an East Coast countdown at 9:00 p.m. The event will also include live music, food vendors, and kids’ activities.

This event provides residents with a safe and convenient way to dispose of unwanted, unused, or expired medications; both over-the-counter and controlled substances will be accepted for safe destruction.

This information is being shared at the request of the Sheriff’s Department and is not sponsored or affiliated with the Association.

The waterfall will be turned off later today for scheduled maintenance. We anticipate the work will take about two weeks and expect to have the water flowing again the week of October 6th.

During this time, crews will remove the silt and sediment that has built up in the two middle ponds, which will improve water flow over the rocks. With the water drained, we will also be able to replace the deteriorating intake cover in the upper middle pond that pumps water to the upper waterfall.
